Affiliate Disclosure
In 2015, the Federal Trade Commission issued new Disclosure Compliance regulations.
The purpose of these regulations is to ensure that readers and viewers of web-based media are aware when a blogger or publisher is sponsored, endorsed, or linked with a separate company. The readers must know whether or not the content publisher earns money by sharing a link or product.
In compliance with the FTC guidelines, please assume the following about links and posts on this site:
Any/all of the links on netloots.com are affiliate links for which I receive a small compensation from sales of certain items.
What are Affiliate Links?
Purchases are made on the websites of external affiliate companies: when a reader clicks on an affiliate link on netloots.com to buy an item, the reader purchases the item directly from the vendor (not from Netloots).
Amazon and/or other businesses pay Netloots a small commission or other form of remuneration for directing customers to their websites.
The prices for readers are identical regardless of whether they click on an affiliate link or a non-affiliate one. Clicking an affiliate link vs a non-affiliate link has no effect on the visitor’s price or other factors.
Netloots utilises two primary affiliate programme types:
1. Amazon affiliate links.
netloots.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.in and affiliated sites, as well as other websites that may be affiliated with Amazon Service LLC Associates Program.
2. Product affiliate links
If you purchase a product after clicking an affiliate link, I will receive a commission or other form of remuneration.
Again, costs are the same when using these affiliate links. You will not incur additional costs by following the link. These are not “pay per click” links.
3. What about sponsored content?
I do not publish sponsored content. I wish to deliver genuine, objective information. Nevertheless, if a corporation wishes to publish sponsored content on Netloots, I will disclose this at the beginning of the post. I only recommend things that I personally use or that I would refer to relatives and friends.
